Doctor Recommended Toothbrushes
September 13, 2022 7:11 pmAs with basically every other product out there, there are countless options when it comes to toothbrushes. We really are living in an age of seemingly endless options! For some, the prospect of that is exciting because it means they have more variety to find their perfect toothbrush. For others, it’s overwhelming because it can be difficult to know which one is really good or not. To help guide your search, we’ve rounded up some doctor recommended toothbrushes for common smile needs.
Toothbrush for Plaque Removal
Brushing your teeth is important for removing plaque that can otherwise build up, lead to cavities, harden into tartar, and contribute to gum disease. Any kind of toothbrush is going to help with plaque removal, but we especially like the Oral-B Pro 1000 Power, Philips Sonicare 4100 Power, and the Oral-B Pro-Expert All-In-One.
Toothbrush for Sensitive Teeth
The best toothbrush for sensitive teeth is one that has soft bristles that don’t cause extra discomfort or pain. Really, soft bristles are the standard recommendation to avoid causing the damage that some hard bristles can leave. For sensitive teeth, we recommend the Sensodyne Deep Clean toothbrush and the Oral-B Sensitive Gum Care electric toothbrush heads.
Toothbrush for Deep Cleaning
If you want to get a deep cleaning on your teeth, then we strongly recommend going with an electric toothbrush. They can offer a deeper, more effective clean than manual toothbrushes, and they’re also easier to use so it’s a win-win. There are even some electric toothbrushes out there that have a specific “deep cleaning” setting. We like the Oral-B Genius 9600, Oral-B Pro 1000 Power, and the Philip’s Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9300.
