The TMJ connects your lower jawbone to your skull. The TMJ can be found on both sides of your head. The entire function of the TMJ is essential as it assists in everyday movements like chewing and speaking.
Causes of TMJ/TMD
While it would be helpful to know the exact cause of TMJ dysfunction, various factors could contribute to TMJ disorder. Causes of TMJ/TMD include but are not limited to:
